Chef Cecilia Arosemena, the founder of this local desert jewel, strongly believes that food can be used as a powerful natural medicine, as long as its paired correctly, and treated with love, respect and appreciation. The mission is to infuse a depleted body with many different nutrient dense foods, that empower the immune system naturally, promoting health, vibrancy, and overall well-being. Dish for Dosha’s unique approach to food is inspired by the balancing principles of the science of Ayurveda. Ayurveda is a 5000 year old healing tradition based out of India that is still taught and practiced in Eastern medical schools today. Using high quality, locally sourced ingredients, Dish For Dosha supports local vendors, farmers, and community outreach projects, and is proud to be a supporter of the YWCA and HAPPY Organization based in Tucson, Arizona.
Dish for Dosha’s fresh raw juices are all natural, and often made with succulent Sonoran desert fruits, every morning. Sometimes, you’ll find floral tones in its nectars, and other times you’ll be taken by an explosion of latin fusion aromatics. either way, the complex and perfectly balanced juice blends are powerful healing tonics, that are sure to please even the pickiest of palettes.
